Magento just released a security bug fix bringing its community edition release number up to 1.7.0.2 (or if you’re using Enterprise 1.12.0.2). Yes, you should upgrade, especially if you’re using 1.7.0.0. If you are still running 1.6.x then ideally you’ve at least made it to 1.6.2.0. You can get those security fixes from Magento here or you can drop by our slowly growing bug-fix repository SiteSquash for the security update – and more.
